    Charles is a professor in the Faculty of International Private Law at Moscow State University of Law named after O.E. Kutafin.  He is a native Englishman, living and working in Moscow.  He is qualified as a Royal Chartered Architect and as a Royal Chartered Arbitrator.  He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He practiced for many years as a Project Director constructing spectacular buildings across Europe and Russia – including FC Shakhtar Stadium in Donetsk,  Exxon Mobil Headquarters in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and the Large Ice Palace for the Sochi Winter Olympic Games.  He is also qualified in construction law, holding a University of London Master's Degree in International Construction Law and Arbitration.  He teaches UK contract law, expert evidence, international commercial arbitration, international investment dispute resolution, international construction law, and legal English skills.

    Prof. Paul Kalinichenko is an author of more than 100 academic publications, including International academic researcher papers.

    Paul Kalinichenko holds a Doctor of Legal Science (Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) in International and European Law. He defended his doctoral thesis titled “Legal Regulation of the EU-Russia relations” in 2011
    His research activities primarily focus on EU external relations law, EU environmental law and EU economic law. Specific attention is devoted to the legal aspects of the Russia–EU relations.
