Annotation: This article describes the development of legislation in the field of protection of intellectual property assets and equivalent means of individualization. The article deals with the period from the first norms for the protection of the author’s rights in the Charter of Censorship in 1828 prior to the creation of the first court specializing in intellectual property rights in 2013. The circumstances are examined that have influenced the amendments to the legislation at a particular time. At the end, brief statistics of the work of Intellectual Property Court are provided for the moment.
